"Each time women gather in circles with one another, the world heals a little more"
Hi there,
It has been a long time since I have written on this blog. We all know how difficult it can be these days to keep all the balls in the air. I have got a ball for motherhood it is basically always in the air. I am so used to it's shape and weight that I can generally keep it up even while being asleep. Sometimes I react to a stranger's kid calling 'Mama!', which shows to me that I got used to this title like it is my first name.
There is a garden-ball, I let this ball drive wild more than I let my children. Garden's don't just fall out of your hands. The earth has hands as well and holds the plants and animals in a perfect natural balance.
I am not going to mention all the different ball's that I have to keep up in the air. As you are alive as well, in the same insane yet beautiful time, you might have an idea what it is like and the metaphor of juggling with your different roles and tasks is not a difficult one to understand.
Let's go to this ball over here, the blog-ball, hanging in the air of being online, very still and untouched, unvisited but still a portal, a place to share and I can walk in and make myself comfortable like it is a room in my home that I find back.
I read the last post and feel I painted it dark before I left.
Now I am working on the paintings for the children's book 'Born at home' the world of my imagination looks very bright and my purpose is to share on the blog from this bright place again. Don't worry, I will still be real and use all colours and black and white. But isn't it a deed of brightness to let all the different moods and aspects of the self stand hand in hand, to be a circle that cosists of all our different aspects?
This question I asked myself when I looked at the women's circle I painted a while ago. The picture will be included in the children's book, in an adapted version. The blonde woman will get her hair dyed with a light sort of henna and I will paint her highly pregnant. In the circle she, Rosa, is celebrating her Blessingway, a powerful feast to gather strength and love to take with her into birth. It will be a homebirth and the name of her second child will be Flora May.
