I´m working on a serie of postcards that will be for sale here! This will be one of them. A Geisha is watching the gooses flying over. There is both stillness and movement. The Geisha here stands for mindfullness. She is aware of the fact that life is movement and that everything passes by, like clouds, or in this case, gooses in the sky. The card will be perfect to send at people going through a difficult time, people who just lost someone or just as a reminder to be still and mindfull.
The sentence >This too shall pass< was on my mind when I painted this. According to wikipedia >This too shall pass is an indicating that all material conditions, positive or negative are temporary. The phrase seems to have originated in the writings of the medieval Persian Sufi poets.<
