The woman is birthing 'fishes' into the pond, which can be understood
as a metaphor about creativity. The bear supports the goddess with his presence.
The bear in my life is a physical person, the man that I live with.
It is not that he needs to hold my hand so I can be creative, but it is of a huge importance for me that he is supportive and understanding about my urge to birth poetry and art.
The Goddess And Her Bear is an ode to him and us and how we just seem to work together.
